We were planning a drive out to Troutdale and so I looked through Yelp for things nearby. The reviews here were good, so we tried it out.
This is in a very nice area, not a part of Gresham I've ever been to before. There were cute shops and plenty of parking behind the restaurant too.
The service was nice, they were attentive and the food came speedier than I thought. The tables have paper on them and a big bunch of crayons to draw while you wait, and that was a nice touch.
The food was very good - I tried the lasagna and it was nice with lots of cheese. My husband had one of their special raviolis and although the sauce was chunkier than he liked, he enjoyed it.
I'd definitely come back if I were in the neighborhood again.

We've enjoyed this restaurant twice now. It's very nice inside (I was worried for the attached bar, but that's not even a concern).
The food was very nicely done - I've had the Pineapple fried rice with cashews and chicken and it's really a unique mix.
The menu isn't as broad as some of the other Thai/Chinese restaurants I've been to, but there is vegetarian options all the way through it for my husband.
The service is nice and everything was brought quickly.
Try the Thai Ice Tea, it comes in a nice big glass and is a very nice flavor.

Ice Cream Renaissance

This is my new favorite ice cream parlor. Unlike traditional places like 31 flavors, they treat you like a guest and actually serve you, with menus, water at your table, and helpful wait-staff.
We went in on a Friday evening, and it was quiet but the servers were prompt to get us water and a menu while we looked over the big selection. We settled on the Officer's Row (many of the options are named after something in Vancouver) so we could sample a variety of flavors. The ice cream was really good!
We'll definitely be back.

La Bottega Cafe Deli & Wine Shop

This was a delightful little restaurant in the Uptown Village area of Vancouver, with seating inside of a Wine shop. They served very nice Italian food and other deli fare like build your own sandwiches. The service was superb, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
This restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it was a great treat inside. We parked in back, there's a little parking area there but it was very full. And unfortunately, they aren't open Sunday and Monday!
We went for lunch, and after a very short wait, we were seated by the window. The service was great. The food was delicious, I had their lasagna and I loved it so much. My husband enjoyed the gnocchi.
I look forward to going back.

We tried this because the restaurant we planned to visit was closed this day of the week. We've been to the other branch of this off of Mill Plain on the east side of town.
My food wasn't great. It was okay, but it just wasn't anything spectacular. The garlic bread was kinda boring, not super. We had italian sodas (not cream sodas) and they were pretty sweet like they didn't measure very well maybe. The service was okay but not great. It was really cold in the restaurant, and the tables were close enough that you could hear what the other people were saying.
We had a table with a map on it, and that was interesting to see an italian map.

Fa Fa Gourmet Chinese Restaurant

I didn't enjoy this restaurant very much, although my husband liked the food. We didn't get great service, and I had a chicken bone in my rice. I don't plan to return.
We are quite fans of this restaurant.
The food is really great, high quality. My favorite is the lemongrass chicken with the peanut sauce - their peanut sauce is what I compare every other restaurant with! They also make tasty Thai Ice Tea.
My husband is a vegetarian, so like the previous reviewer pointed out, they do a good job of having vegetarian options. There are tons of curries and a variety of things that are spicy or mild.
The parking sometimes is full in front of the restaurant, and it takes parking on the street behind Koplans, but it's worth the walk. It's nice to go out for dinner here and then drive over to the library, it makes for a good evening!

This is our family favorite for treats when driving in the gorge! We particularly love the shakes (make mine a blueberry malt please!). But when we were younger, we especially were amazed at how tall they make the ice cream cones!
The curly fries are great too!

The service is great, quick to refill drinks and fries. The food never fails to delight. Even though I rotate through several favorite meals, I easily can tell you that the Teriyaki Chicken Burger (without tomato) is my favorite, along with nice cold Cherry Coke. Yummm. My husband loves that any burger can have a Gardenburger substituted for the meat because it gives him a lot of choices as a vegetarian.
I'll be back :)
